Replaced existing hard drive (SATA) with new Hitachi 400 SATA but system won't boot - Error msg - Drive not found I got a WD 400GB drive to replace my failed Maxtor drive in my Dell Dimension 5000. I have connected the new drive but I get the error message that: Error auto-sensing secondary hard disk drive0 Strike f1 key to continue, f2 to run the setup utility. In setup, the WD drive is detected, but the capacity is not known. When I try to install Windows XP using the Dell Reinstallation CD, it ends up with a 0x0000007F error (which I think is because it can't read the hard drive). Any thoughts?
