Dell Inspiron 1525 HELP!?

Question

My dell inspiron 1525 wont turn on. it starts and it takes you to the log in page but after i put in my password and log in it just turns to a black screen with just a pointer. it did this to me yesterday too but then all of the sudden it started working, but its not working today.

Is there something im missing that i have to do? it just started doing this yesterday and i have no idea why.

PLEASE HELP ME!

Assuming your machine is Vista, Try doing a system restore. Turn on and your system and keep on tapping F8 key and it will go to a black screen with lots of options. Select Repair Your Computer and then put in your logon name and password and then select system restore. Choose a restore point at least 2-3days ago and check up if its working.

If its XP, try booting to safe mode.

Try taking your sick computer to a PC/Laptop specialist. Your computer more than likely has a virus, so I would get Anti-Virus programs. (I recommend Norton 2008, it is the best) Good luck!
