Dell Laptop Restarts on lid close

Question

I just got a new dell laptop and when I close the lid it should go to standby, it doesn't it restarts. I have talked to dell about the issue but they wouldn't help. I have tried to do the wireless card power settings stuff and updated the video card driver. The issue is still here. Any fixes?
