Dell customer service...terrible?

has anyone else had terrible tech support from Dell and made to feel stupid when they ring up about a faulty dell purchase??

  1. I haven't experienced that ever. I've usually made calls to Presto, but I've also had to make numerous calls to Dell and they were very helpful. You've just been unlucky, maybe his girlfriend just left him. People aren't always in a good mood, be a bit more considerate if they won't.


  2. I used Dell Tech Support over chat and they aren't bad at all, you just have to have a bit patience. Although what I have needed support for was my computer's speculations and compatibility with other devices.

            you will probally find that you were unlucky and got one of the few technical reps you find at every pc helpline

             over the years i have made thousands of calls to various companies for assistance,and a small percentage of those calls were what i would class as "unhelpful",in that i mean i was spoke to like i had just left primary school,and this is obviously very annoying

            however on the whole i find most telephone support personal very helpful and these excellent personel are let down by the very few bad personel

            your best option is to write to dell directly and note down your greivences,a letter is allways better than a telephone call

  4. All the time. In fact just today. I've been a tech for years, and am dell certified and I still get talked down to as if I were some lame (L)user. Oh well, you get what you pay for.
