Dell inspiron 600m laptop won't turn on?

It was on one time and the blue screen popped up and gave me an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error, now it will not turn on. The light on the laptop blinks a few times, but there's no beeps which would normally indicate a hardware error.

Although, I was thinking a RAM problem possibly? I did get the lap top on a FEW times afterward though and it seemed to be working fine until I turned it off and it wouldn't turn back on.

  1. 0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Typically due to a bad driver, or faulty or incompatible hardware or software. Technically, this error condition means that a kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel Interrupt ReQuest Level (IRQL) that was too high. (A kernel-mode process can access only other processes that have an IRQL lower than, or equal to, its own.) Since you can start it randomly i guess it 's RAM related.

To test the RAM download , burn and boot from http://www.pclinuxos.com/ . At the boot options you will see MemTest. Select it and let it run fully. If it reports that all is ok, reboot and go with the default - Live cd and see if the hd is correctly recognized and fully accessible. If it is then your problem is with a driver - update them all.
