Question:

Dell laptop is getting no power to it. it would get hot and the fan would get loud before it stopped working?

is it possibly a dead fan or is the laptop fried?

  1. Hi Zov

    Typical Dell problem. They have a battery issue and tends to overheat the components close to it. Actually, if the battery is good, then, the fan is dying which is another Dell issue. Change the fan and everything will work. It's the same thing with a Desktop model. When the power supply's fan goes, the computer doesn't boot.


  2. Try doing a power drain. Unplug the power cord and all other external cables connected to the laptop. Remove the battery. Now press and hold down the power button of your laptop for 20-30 seconds. After that connect the battery and adapater and check if its working. If not check if there are any lights blinking.
