Dell or HP or Compaq Desktops -- Which to buy in India?

Question

I'm think of buying a branded system and come down to whether to buy Dell or HP or Compaq Desktops. Each one has more or less options than the other.

I'm really confused. Please let me know.

Well honestly....hp is emerging as the world leader in the printers and laptops.Their laptops are the best in both performance and look.The service offered by them are also excellent

Dell is Ok.their latest model XPS is good

but when we consider the overall performance and the service it is better to go for hp

HP HP HP HP no doubt man they give you very helpful support and will stay on the phone with you all night to make sure that you are satisfied they sent me a new motherboard free of charge because my old one broke and they had it here in one business day A.M very impressed by them and they have better performance than compaq but to tell you the truth compaq and Hp are the same makers now they combined but still I go with HP

All are good,better and best, it all depends on what you wana use it for.

For home use, I think dell. They have a good customer care and support in case you have a problem.

But one funny thing is that, they all loose most of their drivers after formatting machine.

In terms of quality and service, HP is generally better and gives you more bang for your bucks.

Well In India Going for Dell or HP both are the good option but I have Dell Laptop Inspiron 6400, I bought it from US and last month I get some technical faults, I called Dell people and can u imagine that next day I got the part is to be get replace and by 1 pm my computer was up to the mark, there service is very quick after sales. I recommend Dell to you.

Dell is good. i have the XPS410 and i've used Compacq but it's been bought by HP.

Well, HP owns compaq.  So, compaqs are lower end versions of HP.  HP is a much more reliable company than Dell, unless it is a Dell Studio laptop.  I personally own several HP products, and they are great!  Also, HPs are affordable, and usually have more features than Dell.  I work in Computer Sales, and our Dell displays are forever tearing up and having problems.  My recommendation:  Purchase an HP in a retail store, but also purchase a service plan just in case.
