Dell products worth..???

Is Dell products worth buying? I know they refuse from any after market companies to make accessories to their products

  1. they certainly do not refuse; they make

    nothing!  All of their goods are other manufacturer's goods! [re-labeled.]


  2. Not sure what you're talking about when you say after market companies can't make accessories for Dell. Dell is a computer company. For the most part, you can upgrade Dell parts with non-Dell parts. One exception may be the power supply on some desktops, but you can put generic/ after market parts in their computers.

    I think Dell makes great computers and I've had a Dell for about 6 years and it still works fine. I read that their tech support is outsourced and isn't great, but most computer companies are the same way.

  3. Dells are actually mostly made from standard parts like all other computer manufacturers.  Only apple has the habit of making computers that use proprietary accessories.

    As for being worth buying thats kind of a hard question, they currently have the worst support for both tech and warranty out of any company.  They outsource their tech support to India and they have loose requirements for their employees for the English language.  They also require for any help that you recite to them a long string of numbers from an inconvenient location on the device.
