Dell xps or vaio?

Neither, Build your own. It will save you $1000 depending on what you get. also if you get a dell its a limited selection and they dont tell you exactly what your getting. and if you build your own you can get exactly what you want. I would suggest using newegg.com since there really cheap and have a huge selection and lots of reviews for every products, some have over 1000 reviews from people who bought its. So if you like limited selection and wasiting 1000 on a slow computer then get a dell :)

The vaio is known for commercial use while the XPS is noted for its constant reliability and power capability.

personally i would choose the dell XPS, its a great deal for the money you will spend and i find that it is always ready to take on the graphics heavy programs that i toss at it. Which is alot.

If you are looking for a versatile computer and performance really isnt much of an issue than i would go with the vaio. Be cautious, as the Sony Vaio is notoriously bad with mechanical problems.
