Deloitte Novice Hurdle likely run for Jezki ahead of Cheltenham

Ireland’s victorious novice hurdler, Jezki, is highly likely to have one more race ahead of showing up in Cheltenham’s Supreme Novices' Hurdle, as trainer Jessica Harrington terms Leopardstown’s February-9 Deloitte Novice Hurdle as the 5-year-old’s next
possible appearance.
Jezki is betting favourite for the Cheltenham battle, and the connections are determined to justify his favouritism. Harrington said of the dashing hurdler: "Cheltenham is the plan and we need to get him there in one piece. He will probably take in the Deloitte
Novice Hurdle on his way there. His future definitely looks bright."
Unbeaten over hurdles, Jezki has done a great job on all his last four starts. He stepped into this sphere at the end of October 2012, when taking a wonderful victory at Navan. After winning the O'Callaghan Hotels Supporting Kildare GAA Maiden Hurdle, he
continued his majestic work, and won a Grade 3 event the following month.
After doing the trick twice at Navan, the son of Milan went to Fairyhouse, where he secured his first Grade One success. He left a great impression by defeating the 11-8 favourite, Champagne Fever, in the Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle. Another
Grade One prize was bagged by him last month, when dominating a field of nine in the Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle.
On his superb show lately, the trainer delightfully said on her website: "To say we are all delighted with Jezki's performance in the Grade 1 Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle would be an understatement - I was absolutely thrilled."
She added: "He won more impressively than he did in Fairyhouse and he never even came off the bridle. Probably the slightly better ground helped him and he just loves going left-handed, he's definitely better left-handed.”
The handler is also pleased with the performance of other stable starts. Oscar Well was second to Arvika Ligeonniere in Leopardstown’s Grade 1 Racing Post Novice Chase.
Harrington expressed delight over the way the 8-year-old ran last time, adding that she would probably step him up in trip. She, meanwhile, described that the son of Oscar will possibility run in the Moriarty next.
