The veteran, who picked seven birdies in the first round, failed to tackle conditions on the Killara Golf Club, owing to the storm that hit Australia on Thursday. The 18th fairway turned into a river and the bunkers on the course gave a scenario of several lakes.
Despite of the trouble, the player walked the last fairway with a lead. On the other hand, last round leader, Geoff Woodland could not keep up with his pace and finished with a score of 75.The Aussie drafted seven birdies in the first round. He was joined by Lynsday Stephen at 73.
The lowest score of the day was 73, whereas, the highest was 91, which was produced by two players, Frank Mcloughlin and Richard Flood. Both the veterans failed to qualify the cut after a terrible performance. Meanwhile, Delroy Cambridge who hails from Jamaica held the lead for most of the day.
