  1. Not sure why people would say that.  Delta is still my favorite airlines.

  2. I fly frequently on Delta and they do what needs to be done. It is not like the 80's but they do get me where I want to go.

    Regards,

    Dan

  3. I think that people just had a bad flight experience.  Here in Cincinnati, we fly Delta all the time (because Delta operates 90% of all flights out of CVG).  I don't have anything bad to say about them.  To me they are average and no better, no worse than the other legacy carriers.

Delta has changed my flight schedule without telling me.  That was kind of bad and I know someone else has posted a question with the same thing that happened.

  4. i think its ok. but sometimes when u ask for a fly attendent they wont come. i fly alone when i was 9 and they dont check on me that much :(. its ok but sometimes you have to walk to them to get a little bottle of water.

  5. It's all relative. Delta is no worse than most airlines, but most airlines are really bad. The seats are small, there is no inflight service, and there are extra charges for almost everything. The employees have taken so many layoffs and pay cuts that they (understandably) no longer care about their jobs. God help you if your flight is canceled and you need help being rebooked. Airlines have gutted their staffs and the process takes forever.

This isn't just Delta. You can say the same things about American, United, Northwest, US Airways, etc.

On the other hand, a few airlines stand out as being much better. Southwest has friendly staff and more customer friendly policies. JetBlue has much more legroom and inflight entertainment.

If your expectation is nothing more than a cheap ticket, then Delta is fine. It's just that many of us remember the days when checked luggage was free, there were meals on long flights at no extra charge, frequent flyer award tickets were actually free, and you could actually get some help when your flight was canceled.

  6. that's so funny, because I'm about to book a flight, and I was looking at using the Delta airlines and I'm wondering the same thing!
