Question:

Delta Buddy Pass to fly to London?

Hello there, I live in Mexico City and a friend of mine works for Delta and can get a Buddy-Pass for me. I pretend to fly to London in early August, but I would like to know what are the chances of getting there on time (I have 2 or 3 day flexibility) as I have to fly first from MEX to ATL or JFK and then to LON. If I buy the Buddy Pass I would save about $1,000 USD, so it might be a good deal. I will return to MEX on December from LON, and they have told me Buddy-pass riders find it easy to get a seat on Christmas Day. Any suggestions??

  1. August is a busy travel time for the airlines.  Also airlines are cutting flights because of the cost of fuel.  You will definitely have to be flexible on this trip if you use your Buddy Pass.  You should be constantly checking the load to see how full the flight is.

When my mom worked for Delta, she would only put our names on for a free ticket if she knew the flight would be relatively empty.  She didn't want to get our hopes up too much and then we find out the flight was sold out.
