  1. As has been noted, it depends. If they closed the door early, or in some other way caused your missing the plane, then they should. But if you simply didn't get to the airport on time, or were too busy at the concourse bar to board, whatever, then you're lucky if all it cost you was for the hotel room.

  2. It depends on why it did.  If your connecting flight (I assume there was one) was delayed due to weather or other problems outside the airlines control (pretty much anything other than mechanical), then you are responsible for any necessary lodging costs.  If you have trip insurance in this case, the policy should cover reimbursement.

If the delay was mechanical, the airline will usually offer a voucher when you are re-booked.

If you missed your flight by being delayed to the airport, neither the airline or any trip insurance will pay, regardless of reason, as they consider it your responsibility to allow enough time to arrive, check in and clear security.

If it was a reason I missed, send me an email and I will try to point you in the right direction.

  3. The airline is responsible if they cancel the flight, there was delayed for technical reasons, etc, etc.

I think you have to pay... Sorry.

  4. It depends on the reason. If you missed the flight or was late to board then you. If you were bumped off then delta but they wont.

  5. depends if it is because of weather or cancellation the airline should but if you missed it because you were late your fault

  6. it depends on did you miss your flight because it went too early or you

  7. if you were late, then you pay

if it was hasty departure or other reason, delta should pay
