Chelsea forward and Senegalese international, Demba Ba has gone on to admit that he loves to compete with his team mate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-c13609 Torres, as it helps to bring the best out of both the players.
Ba went on to join http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in January, and has often gone on to compete with Torres for a starting spot at the club. However, with him only scoring six goals for the team, his arrival is regarded to have been a little short lived.
On the other hand, Torres has had his best season for the Blues, and he has vowed to improve even further in the future.
When talking about the relationship between the two forwards, Ba is reported to have said, “It brings out the best because we're real competitors. We want to play every game. When you have a player like Fernando giving 100 per cent every day, you have to give 100% if you want to stay on top of your game. That's what I do every training session, game after game. [It's been a] great move for me.”
When talking about his personal achievements this past season, he went on to add, “I did not too bad. I could have done better than I did but I'm pleased because I've learned a lot, I've played a lot of games and learned about my team-mates as well.”
This coming season is going to be rather interesting for both Ba and Torres. Both the players will have to work under a new manager, who many believe is going to be Jose Mourinho. However, once the new manager does come in, both Torres and Ba will have to be producing some rather brilliant performances if they hope to claim a spot in the team’s starting eleven.
Both Ba and Torres have gone on to admit that they would love to play under Jose Mourinho. However, the two players should be well aware of the fact that whenever Mourinho does take over at a club, he tends to shuffle the team around quite a bit.
This is why it will be an interesting wait to see just what the future holds in store for Ba and Torres at Chelsea.
