Demesne Loopy set to strike hat-trick in Owlerton Bookmakers Sprint at Sheffield
Following two brilliant performances, Demesne Loopy is all set to complete her hat-trick in the Owlerton Bookmakers Sprint, to be held at Sheffield on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
After registering a comprehensive triumph at the end of last month, the white and black b***h maintained good standards to ensure a classy victory last week.
In a 280 metres heat, the b***h managed to beat Nine Below Zero by a short head’s distance. Since she is in great form these days, one can expect her to pocket the winning cheque today.
The 280 metres flat heat will be started at 19:58 GMT. Six quality runners will compete for a cash prize of £200. Their names are: Demesne Loopy, Nine Below Zero, Bowtime Honcho, Frosty Prince, Stepaside Eagle and Spearjoy.
Nine Below Zero will look to take revenge of his recent trouncing. Ahead of his runner-up place against Demesne Loopy, the white and black dog displayed a poor performance. At the start of this month, Nottingham’s audience saw him finishing fourth in a 305
metres heat.
Stepaside Eagle was not impressive last time out. In a similar race last week, the white and black dog could only beat the back marker.
An ordinary show might have dented his confidence to some extent, but it will be foolish to ignore his chances. At the start of this month, J. Smith’s trainee displayed a fine performance, missing the top place only by a short head’s distance.
Frosty Prince has been showing a lot of pace over the 480m distance, but is an entirely different scenario. Out of his last three races, the black dog tasted success twice. He will have to maintain same standards in order to grab the glory.
Bowtime Honcho, who knows the track well, is capable of a big run on his day. Spearjoy was not impressive last time out and thus, it is hard to recommend her against this line-up.
Demesne Loopy would make things tricky for her opponents. Nine Below Zero might create an upset, but Demesne Loopy would be very hard to beat. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
