Demesne Tornado to sweep away the Owlerton Bookmakers Sprint at Sheffield
The Owlerton Bookmakers Sprint will be hosted by Sheffield over 280 metres flat on Tuesday, 29th May. Contesting for the £200 prize money are Cavecourt Derry, Baby Buddha, Swift Karma, Demesne Tornado, Manilla Flash and Slaneyside Arnie.
Highly likely to dominate the field today is Demesne Tornado, the two-year-old brindle son out of b***h, Demesne Chaz. The current season is the debut season for him.
He scored second in his seasonal debut on 14th March at Sheffield over 500 metres. The race was won by Bit View Royal who went through the wire in 30.02 seconds and led by six lengths.
On 29th March, the two-year-old posted another second score through the third career outing. The 470 metres race was won by Demesne Master who timed the track distance in 28.84 seconds and took charge of the final three lengths.
Demesne Tornado’s first career success was in a 280 metres race at Sheffield on 16th April. He reached the other end of the wire in 16.20 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Russanda Phil, by 1 ¼ lengths.
E. Parker trained two-year-old paired up wins by claiming a Grade D1 280 metres flat at Sheffield on 21st April. He clocked the track distance in 16.10 seconds and took charge of the final four lengths.
The runner up, Droopys Victor, timed the distance in 16.42 seconds. Coming at terms with the third position was Stepaside Eagle while the 2/1 favourite of the race, Farloe Hulk, finished in the end.
Striking a hat trick did not become possible as he ended fifth in a Grade D1 280 metres flat on 27th April at Sheffield. The race was won by Farloe Hulk who timed the track distance in 16.39 seconds and led the runner up, Demesne Lee, by a length.
After concluding the next race fourth, he won the Owlerton Bookmakers Sprint on 22nd May at Sheffield over 280 metres by completing the trip in 16.11 seconds.
Finishing the closest to the winner was Ballymac Oma and taking up the third slot was Bowtime Honcho.
He has the ability and talent to pair up wins once again by claiming the race tonight.
