Democracy vs. freedom?

what is the difference between democracy and freedom?..

what would be their comparison?..

Democracy is basically a form of government where every citizen votes, and the majority wins.

Freedom means more than democracy. In a democracy you have an obligation to participate and be a part of society. Freedom implies you have no obligations whatsoever.

Thus, being totally free means you have no strings attached.

The concept is an illusion since virtually all of us, except "mountain man" living on a remote mountaintop in the wild, rely on society to some degree, great or small, to support ourselves and provide a means to eat, seek shelter, and obtain things we need.

Hence, we are not free. But most of us do have the right to vote.

We have neither so I cannot answer you question. We dont have a democracy because our leaders will not address the needs of the people. We dont have freedom because while we hold 1% of the worlds population we house 25% of the inmates.

Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose. There is nothing systematic about it.

We are supposed to have FREEDOM in this country

and Democracy ... that is TRUE Democracy has a problem in that when the majority figures out that they can vote themselves the public treasury, then the whole business goes down the drain because the majority will run off with the loot that is supposed to serve the entire nation.

freedom is when man or animals get married.  stay naked in public places. democracy is when man and woman only can get married. democracy also have some restrictions but freedom is like wild west no law your gun is you law.
