Democrat / Republican...is it really about the country or a selfish contest?

I can't help but be completely frustrated with this whole election process. Over the past months and months, we have heard speeches on what each party wants to implement to help our country...YET, it is projected that by the end of the campaigns, the 2 final candidates will have raised EASILY, over a BILLION dollars. If these 2 people put as much effort into really helping out country instead of spending money on these lavish campaigns that will be over and not have changed anyone's lives...our country might be in a better place.

Do you really need to spend that much money to let your words and ideas be heard vs. doing exactly with that money what you say you're going to do AFTER you're elected?

and yes,but it is more about who can make their party the most diverse. obama uses indivuality and mcain uses hes kowledge of military , and obama i think personally will be ready for presidency in a couple years but not now

  3. Unfortunately, one party has to outdo the other. Air time for commercials is very expensive, so is traveling, the country is big. I liked the idea to put the last day of the convention in a stadium for citizens to participate.

The primaries are too long though.

It will take special people with a lot of drive and stamina to endure the election process. Yes, it is about power, but the candidates from both parties have the best of the county in mind. It all depends what they are going to make of it.

Even America loves pageantry, even if we don't have a royal family.
