Question:

Democrats: Don't you think it sexist to think that all women only care about one issue: abortion?

There are so many issues to care about

Economy, national security, social security, Tax, etc.

Why again and again a party who promotes compassion and equal rights for woman, insult our intelligence over and over again?

You can keep pounding on Sarah on her inexperience and beauty queen. You have to laugh at the audacity...what is the biggest risk? Bringing the inexperienced as #1 or as #2?

If CNN & democrats will continue daily bashing like this, I say, please expect for some backlash!

  1. Her level of inexperience is so amazing that I am stunned by McCain choosing her. Really! I don't like to poke fun at him for being old, but statistically you can't argue against the likelihood of her having to take over at some point.

    To answer your original question:

Of course it is sexist to think all that women care about it abortion rights.

It's also foolish to believe that is the view of the entire Democratic party.

I am also wondering how she plans to be a mother to a 4 month old with downs syndrome while she helps McCain run for office.

I am still totally confused by his choice.

  2. Of course there are other issues, but most intelligent thinking women don't want the government to control their bodies or their choices.  It's an important enough issue that McCain will be hurt by choosing a radical Christian as his running mate.  It also shows that the party is out of touch with most Americans, and has a low regard for women.

  3. Oh good grief. It's not the Democrats that think women only care about one issue. That's the GOP.

  4. The Democrats are afraid someone will take away their 'right to chose murdering a baby" also know as Pro-Choice, also known as an abortion

    McCain in 08

  5. I think it is stupid to make abortion a political issue at all and even stupider for people to base their vote for a candidate on that issue.  While most Republicans are anti-abortion (generalization I know) the root cause of the issue is that the federal courts acted on this in Roe V Wade when it should have been left to the states.  Just a thought.

  6. Palin made an issue of God, Guns and g**s, not the Democrats.  She chose to position herself as a right wing reactionary, not me.  As a Republican (fiscal conservative/social moderate) I am appalled by the radical nuts that have taken over my party.

Perhaps more importantly, that has NOTHING to do with gender.  McSame picked Hannity in a skirt; but, the reaction would be the same if he picked Hannity.  Creationism in the schools, oil over polar bears, anti-every moderate social position on the table?

Your attempt to make this about women is feeble.  Palin in a Neanderthal and that's why the outcry.  Gender has nothing to do with it, except as it reflects on McSame's lame attempt to get Hill's supporters to vote for a woman.  Really think Hill's supporters would not read Palin's positions?

  7. Yes, it is sexist to assume all women only care about one issue: abortion.  However, it's Republicans that always make an issue of abortion.  Nothing is ever really done about it; they just bring it up every four years to try to impugn Democrat morality.

Democrats don't really care about Palin's inexperience other than to throw all of the Republicans' criticism of Obama's inexperience back in their faces.  Apparently, experience is not that important a requirement for McCain to pick someone with so little, as well.  Obama's lack of experience is not as risky as McCain's lack of progressive vision, in my opinion.

  8. Might as well put her in the #1 slot, as McCain looks to croak any day now. At least Obama has a wingman.

  9. It's sad. My wife is basing her presidential decison solely on who is pro choice. And her mind ain't changing.

  10. They are only interested in it when they don't agree with someone.

The rest of the time they leave it up to Planned Parenthood, who backs Obama, who has asked them to lay off.

    Hypocrite!

  11. Just because it's the only thing being talked about right now (it's not btw) doesn't mean democrats don't care about the other issues. Where are your statistics and proof that all democratic women care about is abortion? You're just another uneducated person posting on Y!A. You are no better than the people "pounding on sarah"

  12. Sexist? No. Stupid? Yes.

My boss voted Bush in for his first term only because he was the candidate against a woman's right to choose. How many abortions did Bush stop ? None.

How many of my boss's children were deployed and killed for Bush's Oil war? One.

  13. Well it is a big issue for women.  And seeings how most Women believe a women has the right to choose (http://www.galluppoll.com - abortion), I wouldn't be saying it sexist.

  14. You are so very right!  Palin has more to bring to the VP spot than Biden could ever hope to have, even after his 30+ years in politics.

ToddT - Bush saved many children that die needlessly as a result of abortion...you just don't hear about it or see it from the lefty-liberal news media.  Below is a link...you have just given another example (of many) of dems that spew lies and innuendos without knowing the facts.  And the war is on "terror" not "oil" but to insinuate it is about oil makes it easier for the dems to lie about it.

To the Freak Show - speaking of level of inexperience...your candidate, Obama, has less executive experience (which is what the President of the United States requires) than Palin.  In fact, in her short 21 months of being the #1 Governor in the NATION, she has accomplished more than Obama has in his entire POLITICAL career.  Obama is running on a "change" platform, but he's tapped a 30+ term senator as his running mate who hasn't many accomplishments in that long time of public service.  Your "amazement" astounds me...lol  I predict you will remain confused as most sheep just go through their short lives in a state of confusion.
