  1. I would like for Republicans not to vote for big business!!!

    May God bless you

  2. Good to demo.

    Regards

  3. It's hard for people to vote based on the issues because so few politicians have useful ideas to offer, instead they win votes by talking about controversial social or religious issues that don't really matter and by finger-pointing.

I feel sorry for people, they're always voting for the lesser of two evils.  Coming to conclusions on candidates is a lot of work even for people who follow politics 24/7.  Imagine being someone raising a family, working a full time job plus overtime, just getting to watch a half hour of news every night.  Then we've got people telling them that they're bad Americans if they don't vote.

It's stressful, and a lot of pressure when all candidates can do is bicker instead of finding a common ground.  People are stressed at their jobs, dealing with family issues and everything else, and the current kind of dialogue in politics makes things even harder for them.

All I expect of people, no matter what side of the political spectrum they lean toward, is to vote based on whatever issues are of highest value to them and their families.  Be open minded, listen to what everyone is saying, and if your values say to vote one way, then that's your right.

Sure, it's also anyone's right to look down on someone for voting Republican, but it isn't decent.  They did their best.  They did what they felt was right.  They did much better than those who didn't vote at all.

  4. i would want to feel like if their was any graft behind their vote they would do time - just like blue collar workers.

  5. I would ask them to use common sense in all matters that pertain to their constituents and not to rubber stamp Bush and Cheney which they do for funds that Cheney and Bush control without thought to the big picture such as 6,000 American young people being killed and maimed in Iraq for the purpose of leaving some kind of legacy for Bush.  At this point it is a done deal that the legacy is mud.

  6. I can accept the fact that a lot of people hate Democrats so much, often for cause, that they can't bring themselves to vote

for them. And that seems to be why most people who vote Republican do so.

What I would change is their options. Give them a party that actually represents their interests and they can stop hurting themselves and the Republic by voting for the God and Greed Coalition.

I would love to see either the Libertarians or a revived Reform Party become major players to provide a check on the Dems worst excesses without turning the Government over to the Corporate Special Pleaders and\or Religious Fanatics.

  7. They need to take the blindfolds off before they vote!!

  8. Madpol1 hit it right on the head. Perfect answer. And I am one of those he is talking about. I cannot vote for a liberal wienie, socialist, freedom hating, democrat. So I have been forced to vote for the corporate minions to the detriment of my country. No more. My nose has gotten sore from holding it when I vote. The sooner the left takes over, the sooner the system collapses, and we can get together to build something better. Think USSR here.

  9. I'd want them to think about the issues and vote the way they decide they should, not falling for the party line that if you are against the war you're against the troops or any other BS the republican party tells us.  Also not voting for some one just because he happens to share their religion.

  10. This goes for both dems and reps.  I wish more people would vote for the candidate rather than for party.

  11. I don't want to change anything about the way anyone votes.  One person, one vote and it's the right of every American to vote however they please.

  12. I wish they would quit voting with their wallets about Iraq

  13. get large corporate donors out of the campaign business.  We need publicly funded elections, and we need corporations out of the loop, so as not to sway the vote.

Some say that corporations are exercising free speech.  It's not free if they have to pay for it.

  14. vote for democrats

  15. I would ask them to get information from outside their church about the issues...

There is waay too much religious propaganda in Republican politics.

The Republican primaries are ruthless and a lot of really good candidates go down in flames because the baptists or the presbyterians got them on stem cells or something.

  16. Vote for candidates that will help the country and it's people.

  17. Incorporating religion into their speeches and campaign ads

While the united states was founded on both a new democracy and a new religion, in the world we live in today, religion should not be a tool for control anymore.  The public should be given literature, data, facts and resources to come up with their own opinions.
