Question:

Democrats...anyone happy McCain picked Palin?

As a Democrat I was concerned that McCain might pick Romney as VP. Romney has economic and business experience and a McCain/Romney ticket would be hard to beat. But thankfully, he picked a nobody from Alaska with zero experience.

  1. Absolutey. That's a god's gift for democrats.

  2. He gained a huge block of conservatives that had written him off by selecting her. James Dobson had said he would never endorse McCain, he is doing so now. Agree with Dobson or not, he reaches alot of people. McCain may pull away some of the women voters with his choice, but he has effectively energized conservatives, including myself by choosing Palin. I wouldnt underestimate her. This election is going to be close no matter who wins. I just hope its McCain.

  3. I agree with you, I was afraid of a Romney pick. Now that McSame has picked a far-right winger with no experience, I'm ecstatic!

  4. I would think you Democrats would be happy with someone with "zero experience".  After all, you nominated someone with "zero experience" at the top of your own ticket!

  5. No and McCain said that to lead we need experience. She has 2 years of  leading Alaska. What happens if McCain dies? We now have a crazy woman with no experience leading the U.S. that's probably the only way our country could get worse.

  6. Well, I'm just glad that he looks even more stupid now. The only reason he picked her is because she's a woman.

Let's face it, if Hillary had never lost to Obama, then he wouldn't have picked a woman vp. McCain is just an ****** everyone :)

    Democrats ftw, and Obama '08.

    Amen to that :D

  7. Obama have no more experience than she does. What's your point?

  8. First McCain leaves his wife for a hot young thing, now he leaves his viable VP picks for a hot young thing.

He might be pleased as punch to have a beauty queen on each arm, but I think it's the last nail in his campaign's coffin.

  9. If you want chance in washington Palin is your girl, she has the balls and she will deliver more than Obama can

  10. Yeah, and the Republicans heaved a sigh of relief when Obama picked Biden for VP instead of Hillary. I don't think the Republicans can rightfully argue the experience argument anymore, when they picked someone with less experience than Obama. Yes, Obama has only been in the Senate for about 5 years, but he also has 20 years of public service before that. And as far as Palin goes, at least Obama isn't under investigation at the moment. She was obviously a pander pick so McCain could get some of the women to go to his side. Trouble is, Palin is strongly against abortion in EVERY case, including in the case of rape or incest. I don't see how women would like that.

  11. and which VP pick represents this CHANGE all the democrats squawk about?

Palin is a fresh CHANGE for DC.

Face it, McCain beat Obama at his own campaign slogan!......and dems are now desperate

  12. Considering that Palin has more experience than Obama... What the h**l are all of you going on and on about?

  13. Happy Happy Happy Joy Joy Joy

    MCCAIN/PALIN '08

  14. Democrats should be concerned. You aren't looking at the big picture.

Romney would have been a terrible choice. The Mormon thing is a big deal to some Republicans and wouldn't stand for it. He also insulted McCain during the campaign and they don't need to post ads with that. They also don't want two white rich males running together.

Palin was a good choice. She is very consevative on social values and will energize Republican weary of McCain. She will also energize Republican women - not too sure she'll get Hillary voters, but more than McCain would get with Romney.

She also has demonstrated she is an agent of actual change and a maverick. This complements well with McCain. She took on her own party - beat an incumbent Republican governor and promised to clean up government there. And has implemented the changes she promised.

The years of experience argument is pointless. First, she's running for VP and not the head of a ticket. And second, way more experienced nominees were passed over Barack for the nomination. He also has limited accomplishments. So it's not like Barack can act as some great authority saying SHE isn't ready.

  15. Yeah he picked someone who ironically has more experience than Obama.. So go on and keep dogging her because at the same time you dog the zero experience of Obama..... I love it....

  16. The girl he picked is an idiot. The only reason he picked her is because she is a woman and he might get some Hilary voters. Not only does she have 0 experience, but she wants schools to teach creationism and she skins deer for fun. Woohoo.

  17. Well since MEDUSA was only legend....this is the next best thing.

  18. You are right but if McCain wins and dies in office, Palin could become president. I think that even Bush is better than Palin.

  19. LOL I'm ecstatic....McCain had to find a right wing extremist WOMAN ..he looks and looks..."oh there's a governor in Alaska who fits that description"  I haven't even talked to her but only once but she will do.  and maybe i can swing some of those Hilary supporters my way too since i got a woman on my ticket now.  I'm just cracking up laughing.  Most of Hilary supporters are pro choice, for g*y marriage and wants religion separate from schools all in which Palin is .  There is no intelligent woman out there who isn't going to see right through that

  20. LOL at first answer, I liked that. Is like asking Rosanne Bar to be the next vice-president. McCain is not playing fair, he only picked her to get more voters and fame. Perhaps, he is a little jealous of all that Hollywood attention don't you think? McCain should just retired and continue with his BBQs...Sarah Palin is a joke and a b.i.t.

  21. Yes I am very happy. I agree, I was very worried that he'd pick Romney or maybe Pawlenty. I have never seen so many Democrats happy about a Republicans VP pick.

  22. I'm a Democrat, and McCain made an excellent choice.

Just one reason why I will vote for McCain.

  23. Yes! Isn't it wonderful!!! I agree with you totally!.  oh bix is right! if McCain kicks the bucket  Miss Congeniality is in charge of all of us! Party over we all lose.

  24. McCain has made his 1st command decision, and already it's a blunder. He picked Palin on the hopes that the people who were going to vote for Hillary, will now carry the womens' vote with Palin. A 72 year old man, who longs for the Presidency, is going to say, and do, all that he can, to gain that lofty position. McCain isn't going to tell any truths, to get to the Oval Office. And the Republicans know it.

  25. you would think the dem's would be happy, but look how they are trashing her?

  26. Yeah, you say that because you have no idea how energized the social conservative base is with Palin in the VP slot. Someone extremely pro-life, and pro-Christian Agenda. This is going to be a close election.

  27. I'm very happy, McCain just lost the election.

  28. Well I am happy that he picked a half-wit, but I am annoyed that she will appeal to so many rednecks in America! what is wrong with some people????

  29. And its such an obvious attempt at pandering I think that many people will be insulted.

  30. no

  31. Im a Democrat, and Now, I have more hope that OBAMA will win!!!

Im so glad he picked a nobody. I wonder if Palin realizes that McCain is USING her, to try to win women voters, and sway pple that were voting for Hillary. It really must suck to be PALIN. Im a woman, and all he did was push me further into a democrat then i already was.

It shows how dirty McCain operates...people will see that, after the initial shock wears off.

    OBAMA/BIDEN 08
