Over the past years democratic presidents have shown they may not be too good with wars. Don't blame bush for the war in ira because that is a good cause and democrats voted for it. FDR made the communist c**p we had to deal with, LBJ sent us to vietnam and jimmy carter put troops to their death in a hostage situation.

and i dont think there is time for vacation if you are running for president

now back to the question do you guys think obama has the appropriate qualifications to run a war?

  1. I think you have on overly simplified understanding of politics.  There is a reason there are checks and balances.

  2. I have no problem with this. Your criticizing Obama for taking some time to spend with his family before the big push begins? I'd rather have him rested and ready for the next few months. I think he has good qualifications to end war. That's all that matters.

  3. Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11.

Al-Qeada was NOT in Iraq before 9-11.

And besides, as you cons all tell us, the surge has WORKED, and Iraq is now a stable democracy, so we don't need to stay there, right?  Even the elected government of Iraq is telling us to go home, and Bush said "as they stand up, we'll stand down".  Well, they're standing up.

I think it's time we had a President who will focus on defending the US, and confronting our true enemies, instead of spending 100 more years in Iraq.

  4. This president has taken more vacations than any president in US history...so that point is lost, dear. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/03/1...

This president willfully withheld information from congress, so when they voted for war, they voted without all of the evidence and without access to evidence that proved otherwise....so, that point too is moot. http://www.nationaljournal.com/about/njw...

I think Obama will do just fine with our foreign policy and with our military.

  5. As opposed to having a GOP president take over that's talking about expanding the war?

    Yes.
