Democrats-what should be done with the result of failed abortions-fetus's that are "aborted alive"?

Every now and then it happens. During a abortion the fetus is removed from the mother and wow-its a living human baby. (Who would have ever thought-i mean Pro-Choice people tell us its just a lump of cells in there)

Regardless, what should be done with these babies? Should they just be pitched in the trash and allowed to die, or should the doctors be required to give them medical care-just as they are required to do with any other baby or human?

I know where most republicans stand. Abortion would be legal only under extreme circumstances thus this never would happen.

I'm a Democrat.  I'm against abortions once the fetus has developed the ability to feel pain.  This means the third trimester.  One percent of abortions are done during this time.

Abortions are done in the first trimester and at that stage are not living babies. Nice try though.

EDIT: If they are done after, then they need to be put out of their pain, but I have never heard of any doctor who would perform such an operation at that stage; no respectable doctor would perform an abortion past the first trimester.

I find it interesting that the majority of anti choice people are men...perhaps if your concern were expressed by adopting unwanted children already here, or volunteering your time each week to help them, or getting a vasectomy, you would have more credibility. If men ever had to be pregnant and go through labor and childbirth the world pop would dwindle down to nothing.

So, are you trying to make Democrats into baby killers now.  Listen, I'm a Democrat and pro-choice, but certainly I would not want to see any baby suffer and die intentionally.  Beyond the first trimester (12 weeks), terminating a pregnancy really needs careful evaluation by the woman, father and medical care professionals.  

Throwing a fetus in the trash can is a very crude and rude way to ask a serious question.  If you want serious answers about what happens, you might want to try again in a more respectful and sensitive manner.

Foreign Minister:  Have you ever worked in the medical field, or are you just on the sidelines throwing dramatic, verbal mud clumps at people?  I am a nurse and spent many years in Ob/Gyn, and I am not a "baby killer" nor an "accessory to murder" because I support a woman's choice.  It is never an easy decision to terminate an unwanted pregnancy, and you do not understand all the implications and circumstances behind such a decision.

Life begins at conception.

I am against any form of abortion I believe that even if a mother's life is in danger why is her life more important than that of the baby. The baby was gguaranteedby our Constitution the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The whole thing with the mothers health is just a cop out. Maybe we should hold people more accountable for their actions.

Janet, when you kill a baby, that DOES make you a baby killer. A baby killer can be defined as "one who kills babies". It's not that much of a stretch then to call abortionists "baby killers", and Democrats "accessories to murder".

Yeah, I'm for OBama  and I dont think you should have a abortion after the first trimester. after that the dr. should do what he would do for any living being. but, what about these people that will abort because they have a downs syndromb child or any other proble child that they dont want to be strapped down with. I didn't agree with that when I had children. and what about rich people, they get rid of probllem children if they dont want them, they get rid of them. this whole nation is all screwed up..
