Demonic Demon looking good for Owners' Bonus Series Final at Hove
Following his emphatic first round win, Demonic Demon is in good position to win the finale of Owners' Bonus Series, taking place at Hove on Saturday, April 21, 2012.
According to the schedule, the 515 metres flat heat is due to get underway at 20:18 GMT. The grand finale holds a purse of £500, which will be given to the ultimate champion.
Among the entries for the Grade A9 clash are: Demonic Demon, Dunbarton Roy, Pevensey Cruise, Prudence, Yer Tizz and Romeo Reliable.
After a few poor performances, Demonic Demon strike when it matters most. The second heat of the series saw him topping the chart by a length. Despite being baulked at the fourth bend, the trainee of J. Gammon managed to secure the top position.
With a comprehensive triumph under his belt, Westmead Hawk’s son is all set to bang his opponents in today’s big event. Dunbarton Roy is likely to give him a hard time on the track.
In the opening round of the series, the black dog outsmarted Romeo Reliable by 1¾ lengths. W. Wrighting’s trainee put his opponents under pressure by attaining a decent lead early on. Maintaining his dominance right through the competition, the dashing hound
managed to clinch an easy win.
Out of others, Pevensey Cruise seems to be in good shape. Ahead of his first round trouncing, the blue and white dog did a great job to grab a comfortable win in a similar race. J. Heath’s trainee outpaced Swift Removal by two and a quarter lengths last
week.
Romeo Reliable has been performing consistently over the past few weeks, however, he needs a slice of luck to do well. In the opening round of the series, he finished runner-up behind Dunbarton Roy.
Yer Tizz was outplayed by Demonic Demon in the last round. Since the blue b***h has a tradition of losing her consistency, it would be a dangerous move to bet on her.
According to our calculations, the first round winners, Demonic Demon and Dunbarton Roy, would battle hard for the top position. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
