  1. No. She is the scariest kind of female, Republican.

  2. It should have put McCain virtually out of the race, but since Republicans vote strictly party line, it won't make any difference.

  3. I'm not a democrat, but I LOVE Palin as McSame's VP pick.

Palin as VP nullifies the primary Republican criticism that Obama doesn't have enough experience.

  4. Absolutely. McCain is 72 years old and has previously said he understands that his pick of VP was critical because of his age. He gave us a present. This lady was the mayor of a town of 9,000 people before she became the governor of a state that has less people than my city less than 2 years ago. Obama has been in elected office for 11 years. First as a state legislator and then as a US Senator.

If McCain called Obama and empty suit, he just picked an empty Mini-skirt for VP.

  5. She's going to be a great help to this campaign-the Obama Campaign that is. If McCain is just using her to get the women and the young people of his nation to vote for him, then it's quite a lousy strategy.

Of course I'm happy with McCain's choice: it reveals to me that he's not a good decision maker. Wisdom didn't seem to come with age in this case.

    Obama/'08

  6. I look at it as a Democratic win either way.  If Obama wins as a result of this, he'll probably do a decent job as President.  If McCain wins as a result of this, he'll be scapegoated for Bush's spending and inflation his entire term.  Win win, I guess.

  7. Gosh, Now I feel like if I don't vote for McCain I'm sexist and if I don't vote for Obama, I'm racist.  Sorry guys, there are more women out there. It's a matter of survival.

    McCain 08

  8. See Republican Women and Black Republicans are put down

    by the b*****d democrats,

Oreo Etc that is my only concern,

  9. I would have liked him to have selected Christie Whitman.  I thought that he might pick Condi Rice also.  I was pretty convinced that he was going to pick a woman.  But, Sarah Palin doesn't bring much to the table other than being a woman.  It comes off as a calculated and cynical pick as far as I'm concerned.  He can't argue that she is ready to step in and be President, especially after trying to argue that Obama is not.  I don't think that women are going to flock to McCain because of Palin, especially Hillary voters, because Palin is anti-choice and is a conservative ideologue.  I know she won't convince me to vote for him.
