Ajax Amsterdam’s Demy de Zeeuw has reportedly agreed terms with Spartak Moscow and would be completing the move in the coming days. The Dutch International will be undergoing a medical examination in Germany later today.
The 28-year-old midfielder arrived at Amsterdam Arena in the 2009/10 season from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar, where he played well over 100 matches and scored 15 goals. Since his arrival in Amsterdam, the Dutch International has represented the Amsterdammers in 59 appearances
and found the back of the net on eight occasions.
The versatile midfielder, however, lost his starting eleven berth after the appointment of Frank de Boer in December 2010. Furthermore, signings http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thulani-Serero-c35022 in the ongoing summer transfer market are likely to make life even more difficult
for the 28-year-old. Hence, the midfielder fancied his chances with a move abroad to play more minutes.
On the other hand, the Russian outfit were looking to add more creativity to the centre of the pitch and they see the Dutch International as a perfect addition to their ranks in the ongoing summer transfer market.
The Dutch midfielder will undergo a medical in Germany later today before discussing the final details of his contract with the Myaso. Assuming all goes well, the Dutch International will pen down a contract that will keep him at Luzhniki Stadium until the
summer of 2014.
“Good morning, the next few days I have a medical examination and if that goes well I'm leaving for three years at Spartak Moscow”, De Zeeuw wrote on his twitter account today.
Reports suggest that the clubs have agreed upon the transfer fee of the midfielder. The Russian outfit would pay in the region of 7 million Euros for the midfielder, and a deal is set to be completed in the upcoming days.
Spartak are currently placed seventh in the Russian Premier League table, a mammoth 10 points behind the league leaders, CSKA Moscow. Chances are slim that the Myaso would be lifting the title by the end of the campaign, but De Zeeuw’s would certainly add
the much-needed punch in their midfield.
