The in-form Deng Xuan of China showed a staggering performance in Women’s Singles first round when she tamed her higher ranked rival Tsz Ka Chan of Hong Kong at the Kumpoo Macau Open Badminton GP Gold 2012 on Wednesday, November 28, in Macau.
The impressive Xuan, who is an un-seeded shuttler in Women’s Singles draw of the tournament, stunned everyone by displaying her incredible skills in the arena and remained successful in winning the battle in just 27 minutes.
Chinese shuttler was in remarkable form in the arena as she played attacking and positive badminton and remained successful in winning this opening round contest in a completely one-sided fashion with a huge margin on the board.
On the other hand, the sixth seeded Tsz Ka was chocked with the impressive play of her rival. She could not play positive badminton throughout the match and lost it in a humiliating manner without proving her worth.
In the starting set, the confident Xuan delivered a spectacular performance by playing to her maximum speed in the arena and easily gained a considerable advantage in initial rallies.
Chinese lady was on a different level as she played with variations in her shots and remained successful in taking a strong domination in the game.
Until the end of starting half, the in-form Chinese shuttler was miles ahead on score board as she easily took a staggering lead.
After the break, the higher ranked Tsz Ka could not play better badminton to reduce the deficit and she lost her focus on court which helped her rival to stay in lead.
It was a smooth ride for Xuan who did not face even a meagre resistance from her higher ranked Hong Kong opponent and ended up the opening game with a stunning 21-2 difference on the board.
In the second game, Tsz Ka worked hard to play positive badminton and remained successful in staying close to her rival on score board until the end of opening half.
However, the Chinese shuttler took over the control after the one-minute break and managed to claim the second game with a decent margin of 21-17.
Xuan started her campaign in the tournament in a perfect fashion as she easily registered a comprehensive victory over Tsz Ka with a smashing 21-2 and 21-17 score on the board.
