Lokomotiv Moscow’s president has revealed the reasons behind Jose Couceiro’s resignation and commented on Slaven Bilic’s appointment at Parovozy
Lokomotiv Moscow president, Olga Smorodskaya, has warned that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denis-Glushakov-c10855 is not for sale at any price in the summer tranfser window.
If speculations are to be believed, Glushakov has handed over a transfer request to the management, following the club's failure to offer him UEFA Champions League football next season.
The 25-year-old is one of the hottest properties in Russia at the moment, and the Railroaders intend to hold on to his services despite interest from rival clubs Zenit St. Petersburg and Anzhi Makhachkala.
Zenit had approached the Parovozy for the attacking midfielder in January. However, Lokomotiv refused to sell their prized asset to the St. Petersburg club despite knowing the midfielder’s desire to leave Lokomotiv stadium.
Luciano Spalletti, who failed to lure the former Nika Moscow player away from Moscow in a bid to strengthen Zenit’s midfield, is preparing a fresh bid for the talismanic midfielder.
However, Lokomotiv are firm on their stance to hold on to Glushakov, who enjoyed a fantastic league campaign with the Russian outfit at the heart of the Moscow-based club’s midfield.
Smorodskaya described Glushakov as irreplaceable in the wake of reported interest from host of premier league clubs. There is little arguing to the fact that the Russian midfielder can turn out to be the solution to problems for
any club who wants to improve offensively.
“We do not want to create problems for ourselves. Glushakov is not for sale. The fans can relax.” The 55 year-old was quoted as saying.
Smorodskaya went on to admit that Lokomotiv failed to meet the fans expectations. However, he assured them of improving next season. He insisted that new head coach, Slaven Bilic, will guide the Russian outfit to glory in the near
future.

Lokomotiv failed to find consistency in their performances during the third league round, having recorded three wins, four draws and six defeats.
