In the latest round of Russian Premier League action, Lokomotiv Moscow won 2-1 against Spartak Nalchik at Spartak stadium. In the aftermath of the outcome, the Parovozy midfielder, Denis Glushakov, has hailed his team’s performance despite the poor state
of the field.
The Russian player lamented the poor condition the pitch was in and admitted that it was set up by the White-Reds.
The home team took the lead initially and pressurised the Moscow-based club in the first half, but the visitors came back stronger to score two goals in the second period, managing to claim all three points in a crunch away game.
Glushakov added another goal to his tally as the talismanic midfielder managed to score the equalizer against Spartak.
“Of course I was a little lucky to score but the important thing is that we eventually won the game.” Glushakov concluded.
The former FC Nika Moscow player admitted that it was a difficult match and highlighted that the team kept their heads high and did not lose hope against the Orly.
“As for the second half we thought of the match against Zenit when we were two goals down. In the second half we just went onto the field and did fantastically well.” The former CSKA Moscow player was quoted as saying.
Speaking on the surface of the field, he said:
“It was a very difficult field and it was difficult to adjust. This reminds me of a field in Samara, where we played in the third round. Our assistant manager even said that he simply walked across the field and even walking was difficult. But we had to
play the game.”
Glushakov went on to reveal the difficulties playing at the field and gave the example of the match against Krylia Sovetov Samara. The promising midfielder blasted the management for preparing a poor pitch and labelled it as anti-football.
The former FC Zvezda Irkutsk went on to highlight that he is getting better under Jose Couceiro.
The talented youngster is of the opinion that the Portuguese national trusts him and assured the fans of a similar display when they take on Spartak Moscow in the upcoming crunch away league tie.
