Denmark Open Premier Super Series: Inthanon Ratchanok penetrates into Women’s Singles semi-final

Thailand’s Inthanon Ratchanok has found a killing form on the right time as she has penetrated into Women’s Singles semi-final of the Denmark Open Premier Super Series, which is in progress at Odense.
The World Number 13 Thai shuttler defeated Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu Ying in the quarter-final. Ratchanok played tremendous badminton against the Taipei shuttler and won the match in straight games by taking just 33 minutes of the court time.
In both games, Ratchanok remained in complete control of the rallies. She dictated the pace of the game in a striking way and continued her wonderful run throughout the match. Tzu Ying failed to play positive badminton against the in-form Thai shuttler and
lost the match without putting up strong show.
The match started in a thrilling way as both shuttlers played fast badminton. However, Ratchanok started to control the pace by taking the bird early at the net. Her impressive strokes placement kept Taipei shuttler in trouble throughout the game. The Thai
lady set up a convincing lead until the one-minute break in the opening set of the match.
After the break, Tzu Ying played different badminton and employed powerful smashes but failed to get any advantage as her opponent was returning the bird without any problem. Ratchanok faced no trouble in bagging the opening set with a terrific margin of
21-11 by taking just 15 minutes in the court.
Tzu Ying, who has been playing wonderful badminton in the previous round of the Denmark Open, failed to retain her form against the Thai opponent. Ratchanok continued her killing run in the second set in the similar way. She made no mistake throughout the
match and spared no chance for her opponent to fight back in the game.
The phenomenal run of Ratchanok earned her second game with a striking margin of 21-13 in 18 minutes. The 33-minute battle ended up with a margin of 21-11 and 21-13.
In the semi-final, Ratchanok will be up against the World Number One and top seed of the event Wang Yihan, who defeated the compatriot Yanjiao Jiang in the quarter-final battle.
