On the eve of their first match of the tournament against the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753, Denmark‘s Niki Zimling has been hit by an unknown injury
Niki Zimling who plays for Club Brugge in the Belgian Pro League was hit by an injury to his right foot on Friday during a training session. The 27-year-old left the field on a stretcher and later was seen leaving in an ambulance.
So far, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denmark-c2884 have not confirmed the type of injury Zimling has suffer. However, according to witnesses who watched the player leave the training session on Friday, the midfielder has strained his ankle and was clearly in severe pain.
Niki Zimling has been an integral part of Morten Olsen’s side and has featured regularly in Denmark’s line-up. The Brugge man plays as a defensive midfielder alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/William-Kvist-c36879 in the team and his likely absence would hurt Denmark’s preparations for
the opening match against the Netherlands.
However, Morten Olsen has a more than able player in form of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Poulsen-c9114 who can fill the void if Zimling is unable to play. Christian Poulsen is a seasoned campaigner and has played football for many top-level European clubs.
Before the injury to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Niki-Zimling-c27905, Denmark coach Morten Olsen had a fully fit 23-man squad at his disposal and in a press conference before the tournament, former Denmark international had praised all his players over their form and fitness.
