Denmark to face Italy in the European Championship Division One Twenty20 Series finale - Cricket News Update
After five days of competitive cricketing, the European Championship Division One Twenty20 (T20) Series finally wraps up as Denmark heads out to face the Italians in the tournament decider, scheduled to take off today, Sunday, 24 July 2011, at the FB Fields
ground, St Clement.
The regional competition, featuring 12 participants, initially began on July 19, at Port Soif with Austria and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gibraltar-c2906 taking on each other in the series opener. The procession went on with 33 more fixtures divided amongst Groups A and B (with 6 teams
per group), as participants took the bout to the field.
As for the finale contenders, both http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Denmark-c2884 and Italy posed an impressive run throughout the tournament, landing them the top spot on their respective groups and then the eventual final. Previously, the two participated in 5 games apiece, securing 4 wins
each.

On the other hand, Denmark suffered its defeat at St Clement against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Belgium-c2850 side. The match came to a crucial ending after the Danish faced their loss with just one run.
However, during the respective group semi finals on July 23, both the sides offered some exceptional performances thanks to their bowlers, who managed to offer strong resistance to the opponents, making them fall short of the chase.
The first Semi-Final for the day took off between Denmark and Guernsey. The match was eventually won by the Danish side with an impressive 58-run margin.
The Italians then followed after taking on Jersey and securing a 14-run triumph, earning an eventual spot on the series final with team Denmark.
With the two teams at their best, the series finale will come out with some competitive performance, as both will come out with the best in the business.
