The Danes have suffered a blow in their pursuit to reach the quarter-final stage of the Euro 2012 as their most experienced player has pulled his hamstring

The winger who has over made over 100 appearances for his country, will most likely miss Denmark’s last Group B match on Sunday against Germany after picking up a muscle injury in the second half of a 3-2 loss to Portugal.
Rommedahl was substituted in second half of the match against Portugal and the player was clearly in pain and was limping when he left the field and was replaced by Tobias Mikkelsen. Rommedahl’s injury was second of the match for Denmark following the injury
to Niki Zimling, who was replaced only after 16 minutes, but is expected to be fit in time for the clash against Germany.
While talking to UEFA.com, Denmark coach Morten Olsen talked about the injuries to his two key players.
According to Morten Olsen, the seriousness of Rommedahl’s injury is not clear yet. The winger will undergo certain tests that will determine the severity of the injury and only after that Denmark will know whether the winger can continue in the tournament,
if the Danes manage to reach the knockout phase.
“It's a question of time as they're muscle injuries, but it seems like Dennis Rommedahl is out of the game against Germany. We can focus on him again if we get through. With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Niki-Zimling-c27905 the chances are better, but we probably won't know about him up until
the minutes before kick-off."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 and co, suggests that the youngster will be an able replacement for the Danes.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 sit comfortably on top of the group with 6 points
from two games and only need a draw to progress to the quarterfinals.
Scenario in Group B is very interesting as any two teams of the four, including Netherlands, who have lost their opening two matches, can still grab a quarterfinal berth. In the other Group B match, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753.
