Dennis Hasson vs. Daniel Judah added to Dover card – Boxing News
Dennis Hasson, unbeaten former amateur with 14 wins, 0 losses and 5 knockouts in his bag, is scheduled to meet Daniel Judah, with 23 wins, 9 losses and 10 knockouts in his portfolio, in a light heavyweight clash on Friday, August 31 at the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, DE.
Dennis ‘The Assassin’ Hasson will fight journeyman Daniel Judah in the co-feature bout, while the main event will be a fight between ‘Queen’ Ronica Jeffrey and ‘Lethal’ Lindsay Garbatt for the WBC Silver super featherweight title. Jeffrey is an unbeaten fighter with 10 wins and 1 knockout in his portfolio. On the other hand, Garbatt stands with 7 wins, 5 losses and 3 knockouts in his portfolio.
Another exciting facet of the event would be Hall of Fame former heavyweight Larry Holmes’ presence in the arena to support Jeffrey Dorsey, his grandson, who will be making his professional debut.
According to Larry, “People will love him. He is a miniature Larry Holmes, with my jab and all.”
It should be noted here that Hasson has fought 11 fights in just years as a professional. He defeated the current USBA cruiserweight champion Garrett Wilson previously. Unfortunately, Hasson has not been given the right options to make a career jump. He has usually fought fighters who are underrated, or are not at the forefront of the sport. Therefore, Hasson has always been amidst the most underrated fighters of in the industry.
As of now, Hasson is the favourite for his fight against Daniel Judah. Since he has been able to carry on with his undefeated streak to date, he has become a promising young fighter. On the other hand, Judah comes with 9 losses, which makes him critical to victory. A young fighter with 9 losses in his portfolio is usually considered a mediocre or below average showman.
Probably, this is Hasson’s chance to prove his mettle. If he defeats Judah in an impressive manner, he might climb up the ladder to success. Just a couple of more wins in his portfolio can make him stand out of the crowd.
