Dennis Siver to clash with Diego Nunes as Ross Pearson loses out – UFC news
Dennis Siver will be now clashing with Diego Nunes at the UFC on Fuel 2. Unfortunately, Ross Pearson got nothing out of the deal, since early notions were of a rematch between Pearson and Siver.
The featherweight clash between Nunes and Siver has not yet been confirmed by UFC, yet speculations are that it will be soon. A few weeks before, stories regarding a possible rematch between Pearson and Siver appeared but Siver took no time in disregarding
them, saying no talks have been carried out regarding such a fight.
The UFC on Fuel 2 is scheduled to take place in Sweden, and if the bout between Nunes and Siver happens, both the fighters will get in the ring in Sweden.
Alexander Gustafsson will be fighting Antonio Rogerio Nogueira for the headlined event of UFC on Fuel 2. The event will also come with a match between Brian Stann and Brad Pickett, which is currently among the most highly spoken possible matches of 2012.
Even though it seems like Pearson has been neglected for the show, indications are that he is in for a bigger fish. If Pearson was not selected for the featherweight division, it definitely means that it will be pushed higher, since he is among the top fighters
today.
Also, Pearson has beaten Siver once at the lightweight division therefore there are no chances of him going downwards. Although no bout for Pearson has been fixed yet, according to him he is eyeing someone from the top-five category of the UFC.
The Russian fighter Dennis Siver will find it easier to face the Brazilian Diego Nunes instead of Pearson. Dennis has stepped into the ring for a total of 27 fights, out of which he has won 19 and lost 8.
On the other hand, Diego Nunes has stepped into the ring for a total of 19 times, winning 17 bouts while losing 2. Both the fighters have won 5 matches via knockout. The fight between the both at the featherweight level is expected to be a happening match
since both the fighters are more or less of the same stature.
