Denny Hamlin is about to blow?

Man, What is up w/ Denny Hamlin? I haven't seen a driver cry this much and blame his team so much since.. since.. h**l I can't even remember the last one that has complained this hard!

What's his deal? and do you think a change is needed to make Denny happy at JGR? If I was JD, I'd let the little SOB go, but he does have quite a bit of talent if he can just learn to shut the h**l up when the cameras are rolling. Take your complaints to your boss man Denny and please stop bashing your entire crew and engine builders on national television trying to make your kahoonas feel bigger...

What is NASCAR Nations thoughts on Denny? I'm sure some will have a totally different opinion than mine, so please sound off...

  1. Yeah this guy does need some cheese to go with his whine............For a guy who is still wet behind the ears he sure does "boo-hoo" a lot...........Send him back to Nationwide!!

Oh and trust me, Denny "blew" up wayyyyy before yesterday!!

  2. Oh I completely agree with you! I was stunned to hear Denny's tirade yesterday after his car blew up! You just don't throw your team under the bus!!!!! I'm fairly sure Coach will be chatting with Denny.

  3. Enough of this bashing, Denny had every reason to be mad. He came from the back of the pack toward a top 10 run and his engine blow with 5 laps remaining. I'm not agreeing what Denny said was right, but the media puts camera's, voice recorders, etc. on his face right after his agonizing day. Needless to say, it was said in the spur of the moment.

  4. complaints -complaints

sounds kinda like other people i know

  5. I think Denny has a lot of talent but needs to get in a team where they will back him up and encourage him and give him the best equipment. Just a little TLC.

  6. Sounds a little like a driver from last year....

I won't say his name, but his initials are

    Kyle Busch.

I think that he is frustrated because he is not doing as well as he would like. Welcome to NASCAR there skippy!!!

  7. honestly I dont blame him for being mad. for the last two years Hamlin and Stewart have been the guys at JGR. this year Kyle Busch comes over and the 11 and 20 all of a sudden become also rans. sounds a little fishy to Me. Plus that is only Denny's 3rd DNF or something like that and 2nd of the year.

  8. He is the biggest "crybaby" in the garage, nothing is his fault ever and he bashes his own team...guaranteed that Gibbs will give him that anger management class really soon or out the door he will go!

Just my opinion, not based on fact just me watching and listening to his whining every week

  9. I'm a huge Denny fan and was at the race yesterday cheering him on as he steadily worked his way up from the back and then going into dismay when his engine blew after what was looking like a good top 10 showing.  So I did not get to see the interview being talked about but this incident really hurt him in the chase so I definately don't blame him for being angry and pissed.  I know I was and almost every other fan that was going for him in my section anyways.  However you do have to remain professional and he should have bit his tongue.  Just a bad day all and all.  I'm willing to bet he is sorry for his comments.  I believe he'll bounce back and still make the chase.

  10. I have to agree with you as well.  He has always been a whiner, but it is getting "louder".  He may have reason to be frustrated, but that needs to be taken up with those involved, not the general public.  In his case, he needs not look a gift horse in the mouth.  He could easily be replaced, I'm sure.  He is just "poor me" and has very little class.

    Go Jr.>>>>

  11. Kyle Busch is the biggest crybaby in the garage, he just has nothing to cry about. Denny I think is learning the finer points of crying from him, although he was a decent cryer before.

  12. I refuse to pass judgement on any driver on how they conduct themselves when they are angry or frustrated.

I have said things in the heat of the moment when my frustrations were running high that I wish in hindsight I could have taken back.

He is no exception. Not everyone can maintain such a high level of composure during moments of anger.

    Kudo's to those who can..

  13. I couldnt have said it better myself will i am, you hit the nail right on the head.

  14. I do agree with you. He has always been like that. He was just coming out the heat of battle but berating your crew chief and crew members on national tv doesn't do your reputation any good.. He has been like that every since Ive seen him race though. Clint Bowyer and Denny have showed their "Dark side" this years.

  15. I definitely understand where his anger and frustration are coming from. I can tolerate a little whining when it's warranted. If he would have just said "we don't belong in the chase, we have been horrible, blah, blah, blah"....but, he went overboard I think. I felt embarrassed for the guys who work on his car each and every week.

  16. He went from the new hope at JGR to the stepchild. He should have never tangled with Stewart when he did. And he is a big whiner.

  17. He was caught in the heat of the situation but the crew doesn't hound him on national tv when he wrecks or makes a mistake so I think he needs to learn to mellow out a bit. He is a great guy off the track to his fans but he needs to treat his crew better.

  18. While I agree with your view of him and don't like him or what he said yesterday he still had a right to be upset. He blew up with just a handful of laps to go and is slowly watching his chase hopes slip away. All the drivers on the chase bubble are under an enormous amount of stress right now.

  19. I think it goes deeper.

Just a guess I think he is getting mad at Joe Gibbs because they are using him for bringing out cautions to benefit Kyle during a race and giving Kyle the better equipment. Kyle seems to think that that kind of stuff went on at HMS last year and even said it on live television. I think the same thing is happening to Denny at Joe Gibbs. Remember the flat tire that brought out the caution? Denny was fined for intentionally bringing out that caution. Then he had to blow an engine to try to get Kyle caught back up at Michican?

I think Denny is just frustrated and wants to uncover the truth about the Joe Gibbs corporation. You could hear it in his voice. Sounds like Denny wants some of the music in return but isn't getting it even though he is paying the piper.

  20. Bunnie and I use to like denny hamlin & even thought he was cute and ok driver.  hes mean......  to his team, crew, fans.  when he hit brad kezelowski a couple of weeks ago on purpose he said you throw a rock at me i will throw a brick.

if i was mr gibbs, Bunnie says, she would give hime a real swift kick in the butt and beat the attitude out of him......

  21. I agree with that.  He is a huge baby & his poor crew, they must have been moritified by his comments.  Well, maybe not I am sure he goes off on them the same way.  Not a fan of Denny.

I was at MIS for qualifying & practice sessions on friday, we had garage & pit terrace suites.  I stood on a terrace maybe 8-10 feet above where the drivers walk & the cars pull out onto the pit road and back into the garage areas we saw EVERYONE we wanted to, it was amazing but getting back to Denny Hamlin,he stood right below us probably 4 or 5 different times and a few of us were yelling for him to turn around for a picture he never, ever even acknowledged our existince, not once did he turn around for us, not once.  SOB.  Ryan Newman was the same way.

Kasey Khane, Clint Bowyer & Kevin Harvick were the nicest friendliest guys out there.  Smiling, waving, signing autographs, posing for pics & cracking jokes with us they were just awesome, nice guys.

  22. Lets see you have problem after problem every race and be happy. His teammate has 8 wins & Denny has broken parts!

  23. Denny is a hair from losing his spot in the chase.  He may be seeing even that circle the drain.

  24. I think Denny Hamlin is kinda dumb, but I totally agree with how he would feel. He's mad and he has a right to be. He has some good focus when he's racing and I like him as a competitor. He comes off as being rather "dumb", but hey... he's got a job to do, you know? Besides, each driver is going to act different when the camera is in your face, and your all jakked up on adrenaline. Those camera fx@ks just love getting right in a drivers face as quick as possible so they can catch the driver in a state of mental disarray. That's tacky of the media to do that, but that's what you guys want. It get's you going. Racing is an intense sport, my man. And it'll crank a guy up.

  25. Excuse me the biggest cry baby in Nascar would be Tony Stewart.

  26. Yes I agree with you , he should be thankful for what he has. He could be stuck with Jeff Gordon's crew chief and crew !

  27. Once again they stick a microphone in a competitive guys face after an incident. Granted, Hamlin was wrong. He should have disappeared into his trailer or RV like Stewart, Harvick and others have done.

I am sure he is apologizing and kissing *** today, and we all know Gibbs won't stand for it.

The thing is, he (Hamlin) was leaving pit road, probably put his engine in the twilight zone because he was already p*ssed at not being up front.
