I just bought this home theater system and I am not thoroughly happy with it yet. The tuner sounds great. I can easily listen to this at -30db on the volume level. I have a Panasonic DVR-EZ47VK hooked up with an 8' Fiber cable for audio. To listen to this at the same volume as the tuner, I need to turn up the level to at least -20db. I have a Panasonic tv (older model) connected with RCA cables and I have to turn the volume level to around -25 to be at the same volume level. I asked Denon about this and they said that this is very common since component source audio output levels are all different. Is this true? Even with Fiber? I would assume light is light. Anyway, turning the tuner up to about -10db is extremely loud, but I can easily turn the volume up to 5 with the DVD player. Does anybody have any suggestions or am I just expecting more than what I should?
