Question:

Dense and bloody urine?

For the past 2 days there have been blood clots in my urine, and the urine quickly settles down below the toilet water cause it's denser than normal. This is in combination with pain during urination, a frequent feeling that I need to use the restroom, and lower back and stomach pain.

I'm not sexually active, so I don't think its and STD, what else can this be?

  1. I go through this all the time It sounds like a UTI urinary tract infection. They are really not that big of a deal you need to see your doctor so he / she can check your urine and give you the right medicine to make it go away. They can also give you something for the pain but you can but AZO over the counter to help with the pain until you make it to your doctors. I always have blood in my urine and my doctors are never worried about it. Go see your doctor though ASAP

  2. Bloody urine ALWAYS need to be investigated , quickly. If you are bleeding enough to be passing clots, you are losing a fair amout of blood.  Gross hematuria can be from several causes, but cancer is one that you have to rule out.  THe Urologist will have to find out where it is coming from- kidney, or bladder.

He will have to look in the bladder with a cystoscope- not a bad test-, get CT's of your kidneys, etc.   Go NOW before you end up having to be transfused.   You did not state your gender, so I left out prostatitis- it can bleed too, but you HAVE to prove it is not cancer.

  3. Any time blood is in the urine there is a possibility of a serious problem. get a checkup with your doctor

  4. You really need to get to the doctor to determine if this is serious or not. Blood in urine can be caused by heavy exercise or some other strenuous activity but it can also be a sign of something more serious going on. GET TO A DOCTOR NOW! No one on here can tell you what you have and if this is something minor or serious. Please, go to a doctor or even call Ask A Nurse hotline or something to get advice.

  5. The difference between a minor problem and a major problem will require some lab work.  If it is minor, you will be fine in a few days.  If it is major, you will perhaps fall down and die in a few days.  Without going to a doctor and getting some lab work, you'll never know which one until it happens.

From your description, you MIGHT have purulent material in your urine, which is a dead giveaway for infection.  See your doctor sooner rather than later.

And trust me, this is one case where a long-distance diagnosis is worth exactly what you paid for it...  nothing!
