Density and Flotation?

Suppose I have a liquid B and a solid object A.

A has the same density as B.

What happens when I push A into liquid B? Does it sink or float or... ?

  1. it would be neutrally buoyant. although since you applied a force to push it into the liquid it will continue to move in the direction of the force until stopped by friction.


  2. This is hurting my brain.... I think it would be like half floating half not?
