Dental Exemption in Maternity (UK)?

Hello,

I have a MatEx NHS Prescription Charge Certificate which make me exempt from prescription charges - is this the same thing I need for free dental or do I need to apply for something else? My gums are hurting!

Thanks x

  1. Hiya it is the same thing, just take it along to your dentists,  from memory I think you just sign something to say you are exempt (like you do with prescriptions).

This is of course assuming you have a NHS dentist - some surgeries only provide private treatment and do not provide any NHS treatment regardless of if you are entitled to it.
