  1. Definitely look up HPSP on wikipedia. Its surprisingly detailed and will definitely interest you because you want to be a dental officer. You're talking about 100% dental school fee paid for and a monthly stipend.......to that, you get to become an officer WHILE your in dental school. how great is that?! If this is your case, then i have a feeling you're gonna like this program alot.

But if you're already in dental school or graduated, then definitely contact a navy recruiter (you can still apply for this scholarship like i mentioned above, that is if your still in dental school). I think they'll be glad to sign you on with nice fat bonuses and stipends cause you're a dentist. Military wants doctors and dentists because most tend to just stay in the civilian side and make a whole lot more. Thanks so much for considering military, because this path is more suitable for honor and commitment than money. Not saying its not a bad idea at all, cause you'll receive serious respect from doing this.

  2. First, graduate from Dental School.  Then, contact a Navy Officer Recruiter.

  3. Step One: get the DDS in hand

Step two: find a Medical accessions Officer recruiter

Step Three: Be accepted for DCO

Step four: Attend OIS in Rhode Island.
