Dental abscess! help me!!!?

so how harmful is it? i heard that it can put a hole on my face

like literally make a hole

I am just going through what you are. I had a toothache, then the next morning my face was so swollen I couldnt see. I went straight to the Doctors and got antibiotics, the only way to get rid of the abscess infection and then you need to make an appointment with the dentist to fix the problem that caused the abcess. If you dont see a doctor your problem will get worse and can be quite dangerous if the abcess bursts. DO not put a hole in your face, that is very dangerous and if you search the web you will see that doing that can kill you.

I wish you well, mine is just starting to clear up but you need a doctor or dentist or emergency department to get the antibiotics then follow up with a dental appointment otherwise the cause will just make the dental abscess return.

My pain and swelling of the face was unbearable so I suppose that is why I sought medical help very quickly

It can kill you.  You need to get to your dentist ASAP.

Ummm....a dental abscess can kill you.  And it can happen overnight.  That is if the abscess drains to your brain.  Most times it does not.  Most times it either hurts so bad that you go in to see a dentist and get treatment, or it makes a little hole in your jawbone at the tip of your tooth, then blows your gums out until pus starts draining from them.
