Dental hygiene with sensitive tooth after root canal?

I had a root canal and a crown 2 days ago (monday), I still feel sore and my tooth is very sensitive to touch. they scheduled a hygiene appointment for friday morning. Would it be painful to have that tooth cleaned wihtin 5 days of a root canal? I'm wondering should I reschedule my appointment or the dental hygienist can deal with that somehow in a non-painful way? thanks

the dental hygienist will not try to hurt you. if you explain to them what is going on they will help you. to cancel your appointment is bad because the hygienist is always booked. after a crown prep your gums will be sore because of the cord that they pack. its normal but you should still ask the dentist. I'm sure you will be fine for your cleaning though.
