Dental problem? broken tooth face has swelled up?

i broke my tooth last week got appointment at dentist wednesday can anyone tell me if i have a abscess .i woke up today and gland is swollen all so my right side round buy my nostril is swollen and sore the tooth is also on the right side

Dear it may be an abscess, but you don't have to be scared about it. If its not painful it fine. take a little care and everything will be alright. Keep that area as clean as possible by rinse and brushing. avoid biting on it for some time. and be careful not to apply heat to that area. don't apply gel or pain relief balm on it. If you feel pain is increasing you can take pain killer pill if necessary. If there is swelling you can apply ice pack on it. Look forward to your appointment. take care.

i am a paedodontist...haha i know it sounds like a dinosaur  but i know stuff about teeth i say youshould have that tooth pulled out slowly by a stegasaurus.

Well I'm not sure what it is but it is most likely an infection. Because it sounds like its on the top of your mouth it is very important that you see the dentist right away because infections on the top of your mouth can be very dangerous.

Yes.  an abscess for sure.  You need antibiotics before the tooth is worked on or extracted.

Contact your GP now, he or his emergency cover will probably send a scrip to your nearest chemist.

I know that pain, had an infected cyst on a tooth root.

I had this problem 6 weeks ago phone nhs emergency dentist u cant Wait till wednesday u need antibiotics fast phone them now
