I haven't been to the dentist in well..I dont want to tell you because you'll ay mean things lol and now my wisdom tooth is refusing to come through and is hurting like h**l!

How much do you think it'll cost to take it out, general dentist costs, etc.

I know a check up costs are about £20 like optitions, but am thinking to have it out more like £100+..not sure..

I'm registered to a NHS dentist, ifthis helps.

Thanks!

  1. You have dentists in the UK?

  2. Last time I went to the dentist, it cost me £100.00 per half hour no matter what I had done.

Whilst they were very good and I had no complaints I should warn you that it can get expensive.

If you haven't been to your dentist in over six months then you may find that you are no longer registered with them.

    Good luck.

  3. Varies depending on what you're getting though NHS prices are broken down as follows:-

        * £16.20 - This charge includes an examination, diagnosis and preventive care. If necessary, this includes X-rays, scale and polish, and planning for further treatment. Urgent and out-of-hours care also costs £16.20.

        * £44.60 - This charge includes all necessary treatment covered by the £16.20 charge PLUS additional treatment such as fillings, root canal treatment or extractions.

        * £198 -This charge includes all necessary treatment covered by the £16.20 and £44.60 charges PLUS more complex procedures such as crowns, dentures or bridges.

Edit: You only pay the charge once for a complete course of treatment, even if it spans over more than one appointment, usual guideline is 2 months

  4. I have 5 free gold crowns on the NHS YANKY DOODLE DANDIES.

iT SHOULD COST YOU AROUND £40 or less.

  5. i'd say slightly under £100, if your under 18 then its free!
