About 3 years ago I lost one of my baby teeth and a wisdom tooth never grew back. The space has gotten much smaller and now I want to make the space bigger so I can get a tooth implant there. My questions are, how are they gonna make the space bigger, how much will it cost, am i old enough (15), and how long will it take to make the space bigger?

thanks

  1. Be like me - be free. Don't brush your teeth. Avoid it. It's useless, pointless and unpractical. Just another looney scheme the government come up with for more tax money.

Live a life without being told what to do. Just forget about your teeth, I have and I love it.

  2. Depending on how big you need to make the space will determine how long it will take.    In any event,  it will take awhile,  and probably be a good deal of money.  Some dentists use braces or partial braces to move the other teeth out of the way first.   Then the surgery is done to put in the implant,  and then you need some more procedures to get the fake tooth put in.   You and your parents should talk to a dentist that does implants to get a full estimate of how many procedures and how much money you would need.   Insurance may not cover an implant,  but would help cover the cost of a bridge, so ask the doctor if a bridge is a better option too.
