  1. I have braces and the same things to get done to my mouth!  I had only 4 braces first for a year to fix my gap.  Now I have a full mouth that I have to have for about a year and six months.  I am guessing that you may have them on for anywhere from 2-3 years.

  2. Two years, maybe three

    It depends really

  3. u really cant tell with just that info. ask him?

  4. You can never really be sure how long because mostly everyone teeth are different, and it depends how long  it takes for your teeth/jaw to move the way they need to.

But most times its about 2 years.

    Good Luck!

  5. I have braces, you could have them for 3 years... that's how long i think i will have them for. I had a gap too and after less then a year my gap closed! good luck!

  6. i had an underbite, and i didnt even need my jaw moved.

my orthodontist put my braces on and i used elastics and it changed my jaw without the surgery..

i got my braces on april of 07 and should have them off by feb of 09

  7. id say about 3 or 4 years. my jaw and bite wasn't wrong, but my teeth themselves were really messed up and crooked. I had mine for 3 years just because they were so bad. so i think that if all u have wrong with ur teeth is a gap and a tiny overbite, that should only take about a year or a year and a half. but the whole jaw moving forward thing might take awhile. best of luck, ur teeth will be beautiful when you get the braces off.

  8. ok, welll, my orthodontist is doing the exact same thing to me

i have an overbite (it isn't that bad, but according to him it is)

so, i'll have my braces on for two years in November. Last december, i got my wisdom teeth pulled and they also pulled the two teeth beside my "vampire" teeth. This was to pull my other teeth forward and eventually fix my overbite. After the teeth were pulled they power chain them, which is a stronger wire that goes over your braces to  pull them together faster. They were considering breaking my jaw and pulling it forward but we decided against that when my teeth were pulled. This might be an option they consider for you.

Overall, you will probably have your braces for two to two and a half years. I know it sounds like a long time but your not alone, and it'll all be worth it!! Good Luck!!

    hope i helped! :)

  9. you'll really have to ask your orthodontist about that. I only had mine for one year, but I know people who have had them for up to four years.

I am going to randomly guess...2 1/2 years! lol dont expect me to be right though XD

  10. who cares at least it will be better
