Denver Broncos head coach John Fox ready to change offence for Peyton Manning - NFL News
Denver Broncos coach John Fox has no problem in adapting his team’s offence to suit the strengths of his quarterbacks and he is ready to do it once again now that Peyton Manning has arrived at the Mile High City.
The Broncos had to change around the entire offence when Tim Tebow was made starter for Denver and they had great success on that front as Tebow turned around seemingly lost games in the final quarter.
With Peyton Manning now ready to call the shots in offence Fox has to change around his game plans. Talking to the Broncos official website the head coach was asked what he planned for his high profile new signing.
He replied with just two words.
"Play him,"
Nothing more needs to be said as the four-time Most Valuable Player (MVP) will easily assimilate into the Broncos team.
Manning joined the Broncos after refusing offers from several other franchises after being released by the Indianapolis Colts who have handed their future in the hands of this year’s number one draft pick Andrew Luck.
The veteran MVP’s arrival at the Broncos led to the trade of Tim Tebow who joined the New York Jets as a backup quarterback.
Fox went on to add in the interview that he will remain “forever grateful” to Tebow for helping him turnaround what looked like a lost season completely as the Broncos lifted the American Football Conference (AFC) West division title.
Tebow led the Broncos all the way to the divisional rounds after defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in a thrilling encounter in overtime.
Fox is ready to change things around in the new season and said.
"I think (Manning) was aware of that, and, you'd have to ask him, but that could have been a factor. He's done a certain way for 14 years, and obviously had great success, so we'd kind of be silly if we wouldn't take some of what he's done in the past and
utilize his strengths ... and of course that came up."
The Broncos will now hope that they got the same player who made Indianapolis into one of the most feared teams in the league.
