Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton manning ready to bounce back after loss against Atlanta Falcons
After an impressive start to the season by silencing all his critics, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning once again provided them an opportunity to doubt his game level as his team lost to Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 game. However, the quarterback is
not bothered by the loss and seems ready to bounce back in Week 3 game against Houston Texans on Sunday.
Manning was miserable at the start of the game as he threw three interceptions early in the game. This gave Falcons a strong chance to score some points against their opponents.
Broncos fought back towards the end, but still lost the game after which many questions were raised on Peyton’s ability to stay fit throughout the season.
Peyton missed the entire 2011 season when he was with Indianapolis Colts owing to a neck injury and many experts assumed that it was the end of his career. However, the quarterback did not give up and returned to the league and even though Colts released
him, Peyton did not get dejected and joined Broncos.
Many are still questioning his arm strength, especially after Week 2 loss, but Peyton does not want to respond to each and every question he faces. ESPN quoted him as saying:
"I am what I am, it is what it is, whatever expression is appropriate for that. So, I don't know what to tell you."
Peyton said of the loss against Falcons:
"It's not deterred at all, if you're insinuating that. We're still learning about each other. We're playing different opponents each week, live bullets, different types of defences. The key is, you want to win games as you are continuing to learn."
Peyton’s performance in the season opener against Pittsburgh Steelers was rather impressive as he led the team to victory, while scoring two touchdowns without throwing any interception. His Week 2 performance was in contrast to what he had shown in Week
1, but it is still too early to speculate his future prospects.
Peyton, too, is focused on Week 3 game against Texans. Highlighting the areas for improvement, the quarterback said:
“Against a team like Houston, you've got to get off to a better start on both sides of the ball and kind of feed off one another.”
